Transitional Justice and Historians:
Why Early Modernists Should Care About the 1970s
Location: Old Courtroom, Oude Boteringestraat 38, Groningen
Please join us on 3 April for a keynote lecture by Prof. Ronen Steinberg (Michigan State University) on why early modernists should care about the 1970s. Prof. Steinberg will be addressing the conference 'Building Peace: Transitional Justice in the Early Modern World' at the Old Courtroom (Zittingszaal) in Groningen. His talk 'Transitional Justice and Historians: Why Early Modernists Should Care About the 1970s' promises to be a fascinating foray into the 1970s context which birthed the idea of transitional justice and why early modern historians should consider this context when applying the lens of transitional justice to discuss peacebuilding in the early modern era.
Drinks will be served afterwards. We kindly ask that you sign up for this event via Eventbrite. Should you wish to attend the lecture online, please sign up here to receive the link.
